Our mission

We want accurate animal information to be simple and enjoyable to read. Whether you are a student, a pet owner or just curious, you should find useful facts quickly and understand why wildlife matters.

How we write

• We research each article using reputable sources such as the IUCN Red List and Animal Diversity Web.
• We state a species' conservation status as listed by the IUCN.
• We list references wherever we can, so you can check the facts yourself.
• When you report a mistake, we review it and correct it.

Who we are

Deszoo is run by the Deszoo Team from Morocco. We are animal lovers who enjoy turning scientific information into guides that everyone can read.
